ShuttleSmart — Terms of Service

ShuttleSmart Badminton Draws, for Android and iOS (com.brainbloomer.shuttlesmart).

ShuttleSmart is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Badminton World Federation. Entry lists, draws and rankings are read from public sources, refreshed periodically, and may lag or differ from the official record. Do not rely on ShuttleSmart alone for an entry deadline, a withdrawal decision, travel plans, or anything else that matters. Check the official source.

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of the ShuttleSmart mobile app and the ShuttleSmart pages on app.brainbloomer.com (together, "ShuttleSmart"), operated by Benetti Corporation, a Texas C-Corporation ("Benetti", "we", "us"). By installing or using ShuttleSmart you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use ShuttleSmart.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ShuttleSmart. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use ShuttleSmart only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Your account

ShuttleSmart uses your email address as your account. There is no password: you sign in with a one-time code we email you. Keep that mailbox secure — anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You can optionally require your device's fingerprint or face unlock to open the app; that is a device-level convenience, not a substitute for securing your email.

You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at benettimedia@gmail.com if you believe it has been used without your permission.

4. What ShuttleSmart provides

ShuttleSmart tracks the badminton players you add to your watch list and alerts you when their tournament entry-list position or ranking changes. Alerts are generated on our servers on a periodic schedule and delivered as push notifications where you have enabled them.

We do not guarantee that an alert will be sent, will arrive, or will arrive in time. Delivery depends on the upstream data source refreshing, on our servers, and on Apple's and Google's notification services. We may change the refresh schedule, the alert types and the free allowance at any time.

5. Third-party data

Player names, BWF identifiers, entry lists, draws, rankings, tournament histories and profile images are public information about players and events, sourced from publicly available badminton data and displayed for information. Those rights belong to their respective owners, including the Badminton World Federation. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of any of it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use ShuttleSmart for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, stalk or intimidate any player or person;
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to ShuttleSmart, our backend, or another user's account;
Interfere with or disrupt the service or the servers behind it;
Scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data from ShuttleSmart or resell it as a data feed;
Resell, sublicense or redistribute ShuttleSmart without our written permission;
Create accounts by automated means or circumvent the watch-slot allowance.

7. Watch slots and payment

7.1 Free allowance and paid slots

ShuttleSmart includes a free allowance of watch slots. If you want to watch more players than the free allowance permits, you can buy additional slots. Checkout is hosted by Stripe in your browser; we never see or store your card details. An in-app subscription option may be offered in future; where it is, it is billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play.

7.2 What a purchased slot is

A watch slot is a licence to use extra monitoring capacity in the app for as long as we offer the service. It is not property, has no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

7.3 Cancellation and refunds

Where a purchase is recurring, you can cancel at any time and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Payments already made are not refunded, including for unused portions of a billing period and for slots you stop using. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to Apple's and Google's own refund policies, which those companies administer and which we do not control.

7.4 Price changes

We may change prices. The price shown at the point of purchase is the one that applies to that purchase; a change to a recurring price applies only from a renewal that follows notice.

8. Intellectual property

ShuttleSmart, its software and its design are owned by Benetti Corporation and protected by copyright and trademark law. You get a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use ShuttleSmart for your own non-commercial use. Third-party badminton data remains the property of its owners.

9. Availability

ShuttleSmart depends on our backend, on public data sources, and on third-party providers. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. ShuttleSmart is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Benetti Corporation is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a missed, late or incorrect alert, or from reliance on the badminton data shown in the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for ShuttleSmart in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use ShuttleSmart in a way that harms the service, the upstream data sources, or other users.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Travis County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms. The updated version is posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of ShuttleSmart after a change means you accept it.
