BrainBlitz — Privacy Policy

BrainBlitz, for Android and iOS (com.brainbloomer.brainblitz).

Last updated: September 7, 2026

The short version. BrainBlitz has no accounts and no sign-in. You do not give us your name or your email to train. Your reading scores, session history and preferences stay on your phone — they are never uploaded. The practice passages ship inside the app, so reading a passage sends nothing anywhere. What does leave the device is a random install identifier attached to usage events and to your subscription check, plus crash reports. We run no advertising or tracking SDK.

1. Who we are

BrainBlitz is operated by Benetti Corporation, a Texas C-Corporation ("Benetti", "we", "us").

This policy covers the BrainBlitz mobile app and the BrainBlitz pages on app.brainbloomer.com. Other BrainBloomer apps have their own policies; this one describes BrainBlitz only.

2. No account, no sign-in

BrainBlitz does not ask you to register. There is no username, no password, no social login and no email step to start training. Everything below follows from that: we hold no name, no contact details and no profile for you.

3. What BrainBlitz collects

Install identifier

On first launch the app generates a random UUID and keeps it in the device's secure storage. It is not your advertising ID and it is not linked to your real identity. It is attached to usage events, to your subscription check, to your remote-configuration request and — if you enable them — to notifications, so that each install can be told apart.

Usage events

BrainBlitz sends product-analytics events to our own backend. Each event carries the event name (for example paywall_viewed, subscribe_succeeded, settings_opened), the install identifier, the product id, environment, platform, app version, timestamps, a flag marking non-production traffic, and event-specific properties. Events carry no email, no name and no reading content.

Crash and diagnostic data

The production build reports crashes and performance traces to Sentry. BrainBlitz does not attach a user identity to those reports. Console logs are dropped before they leave the device and routine network failures are filtered out. Recent analytics events are mirrored into a report as breadcrumbs, so a crash report can contain the sequence of screens and actions leading up to the crash.

Subscription and purchase data

Subscriptions are billed by Google Play, the Apple App Store, or — for a web purchase — Stripe. The app forwards the store purchase receipt (or the Stripe checkout session id) to our backend so entitlement can be verified. We never see or store your card number. The checkout session id is also kept on the device to stop the same purchase being redeemed twice, and can appear in a diagnostic report.

Email address — only if you ask us to restore a purchase

If the store's own "restore purchases" finds nothing — typically after a reinstall following a web purchase — the app offers to look your subscription up by the email address you used at checkout. Typing an email there is the one place BrainBlitz sends an email address to our backend, and it is used solely to find that subscription. If you never use that path, we receive no email address from the app. Separately, when you buy through the web checkout, Stripe collects your email directly on its own page.

Push notification token

Only if you turn notifications on in Settings. The registration carries the push token, the install identifier, platform, provider, bundle id, environment and product id. Notifications are off unless you enable them, and the app works fully without them.

4. What stays on your device and is never uploaded

The practice passages and the drill engine ship inside the app bundle. Reading or running a drill makes no network request and sends no text, timing or score to us.

5. What BrainBlitz does not collect

6. Where data goes

RecipientWhat it receivesWhy
Benetti backend (Google Cloud, United States)Install identifier, analytics events, purchase receipt or checkout session id, experiment assignment, push token, and a restore email if you use that pathTo run the subscription, configure the app, and understand usage
SentryCrash and diagnostic reports with breadcrumbsTo find and fix errors
Apple, Google, StripeYour payment details, which they collect directlyTo bill and manage the subscription

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Our servers are in the United States.

7. Retention and deletion

Because there is no account, the data tied to you on our side is what is keyed to your install identifier: the entitlement record, analytics events, and any push registration. You can request deletion from inside the app — Settings → Delete account — which schedules removal with a 30-day grace period. Uninstalling the app removes everything held on the device, including your scores and history; that local data cannot be recovered by us because we never had it.

Google Play and App Store subscriptions must be cancelled in your device's subscription settings; we cannot cancel them for you. Billing records are retained for the period tax law requires.

8. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the data we hold against your install identifier. The in-app route is the reliable one, because the app knows its own identifier: Settings → Delete account. If you have already uninstalled the app we may be unable to locate the record, since we hold no email or name to search by. For any request, email benettimedia@gmail.com.

9. Children

BrainBlitz is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use HTTPS for all app-to-server traffic, the platform's secure storage for the install identifier, encryption at rest on our cloud provider, and role-based access controls on the backend. No system is perfectly secure; we do not claim otherwise.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
